Do you remember the metal frame and

the candle holder on the tray of the Giveaway?

well , they both found a home. I love to build Birdhouses. They always start with a door knob or a frame...my day is so complete when I build one. I finished two yesterday, a pink and white.

White Wednesday!

and Bella is going on another trip!

She is all dressed up....it's a special day for her. She will be at the Mermaid Mercantile this Sunday February 28th, 2010 from 10am-5pm.

She will keep me company while a teach my classes starting at 11am and watching other artists teach too and demo. It's not only the Mermaid Mercantile this Sunday but also the first DIY Demos. MM

Happy Anniversary to me!

Yes 1 year today I wrote my first post!

What was I saying? I don't blog, I don't look at blogs, I don't want to seat on my wonderful fit b...in front of a computer? Well here I am and yes my b is bigger and you know what? Here is a list of reasons that makes me want to come back and post some more!

1. My English dictionary is expanding the more and more I write. I don't make sense sometimes and I make some of you smile when instead of goose bumps I write goose pumps! Kerri and I always said we need to write a new dictionary with all the new words I come up with!"Engletaliano"
2. I don't have to fly too far to meet my blouguettes friends, it feels we are in the same room.
3. I learned so much from everyone of you, your quotes, your comments, your like and dislike.
4. I am creating every day new things because of visiting with you.
5. I opened my etsy shop, that is doing well.
6. Yes I love telling you about food, what I will make for lunch or dinner. Who came to visit me or who I went shopping with. Why not!

and if one of these days I loose my memory it's all on my blog. Just check post #1 for Barn Sale, check post # 4 for soldering class, check pics of chickens post # 44.....and

On to new business

this tray is full of all the goodies that I got during last weekend shopping day with "Peperoncino" , Raffaele, Christie and Lisa.

I also on the tray have some vintage bottles. Jackie B. came to see me at Cottage Antiques and brought me a box of bottles and buttons.

I was thinking of having a give away and I will probably use something from this tray, maybe I will gift a bottle? a charm? a spoon necklace? a crown? what do you wish for?

Rainbow

So beautiful!

I took these photos a couple of days ago here in Rainbow.

It's time to post them.

P.S. Sue was asking me where is Rainbow? She is right! not everybody knows where Rainbow is. Well Rainbow is a small community in San Diego county and it's part of Fallbrook. There is a gas station, a restaurant, a small market, a flower shop, a fire station, a school and a real estate office and my favorite an architectural salvage yard. We have been here for almost 20 years, and more to go!

I do appreciate life more and more these days.

Tiramisu

Delizioso White Wednesday!

I love White Wednesday like many of the blougettes out there....and I have been craving Tiramisu' pronounced tih-ruh-mee-SOO. It translates "pick me up" because of the espresso in it. It's an Italian dessert invented in the 1960's in a restaurant in Treviso, Italy. There are so many recipe out there, all very good. I do follow my mamma's recipe: 1/2kg mascarpone cheese,

200 gr. powder sugar, 30 ladyfingers, 4 eggs.

We had such a great time yesterday at Cottage Antiques in Ocean Beach, also very profitable day. This are two of the bottles that I took to the show. I had so much fun making them.

Today, also a fun day! Actually my Deano and I don't celebrate Valentine's day just Anniversary so I got to hang out with my friends at the Salvage Yard and Granny's Antique mall. I can't ask for more! Almost forgot, I received my copy of Flea Market Style, oh I LOVE IT!

So many ideas, Job Well done!
